Job Description
Our client is a leader in glove manufacturing in Thailand.
Main Responsibilities:
- Operating following the safety management system of the company, ensuring continuous maintenance, and reporting the status to executives.
- Operating according to environmental management system standards.
- Following up and maintaining the system continuously and reporting the status to executives.
- Assisting the Senior EHS Manager in preparing plans, training plans, and annual activity plans for safety, health, and environment, and monitoring them while reporting the status to executives.
- Supporting the Senior EHS Manager in updating legal information related to safety, occupational health, and the environment, evaluating consistency, and communicating with relevant departments to ensure compliance.
- Organizing projects and promoting activities to stimulate awareness of safety and the environment inside and outside the company.
- Advising all departments on hazard identification and risk assessment, developing and implementing safety procedures according to job characteristics, and ensuring continuous monitoring.
- Coordinating with all departments to provide on-the-job training regarding security procedures and other required training courses mandated by law and related standards, including practical skills development.
- Coordinating with all departments to provide personal protective equipment according to the nature of work and risks, ensuring proper implementation and follow-up.
- Coordinating with the team to manage risks and emergency response, ensuring the emergency team is properly trained and skilled.
- Attending Safety Committee meetings, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and standards as outlined by the Head Office, and adhering to meeting schedules (monthly and weekly).
- Providing all safety and environmental assessments, offering suggestions for improvement, and following up to report progress to senior management.
- Conducting inspections and approvals before the issuance of work permits for tasks that pose risks to employees and contractors.
- Investigating workplace incidents to determine root causes, recommending corrective actions, and implementing preventive measures while reporting findings to management.
- Planning, implementing, and tracking initiatives related to Process Safety Management (PSM), Management of Change (MOC), and High-Risk Task Management to strengthen workplace safety and sustainability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Safety Engineering, or related fields.
- 3-5 years of safety experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of Safety Management System standards.
- Understanding of occupational health and workplace environmental standards.
- Experience with Process Safety Management (PSM).
- Ability to serve as a trainer for safety and environmental topics.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a service-oriented mindset.
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA, ILO-OSH, OSHA PSM, NFPA, FM Global, ANSI, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 as they relate to Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS).
