We are seeking a Quality Manager, directly reporting to the Asia Supply Chain Director located in the Bangkok office. This role involves traveling to Asia's regional suppliers to perform quality audits, document findings, create gap-closure plans, and ensure ongoing improvement and compliance for supplier OTIF and quality performance. As the regional procurement office Quality Manager, you will be responsible for the creation of the regional office QMS and the flow down and implementation of Supply Chain Management Procedures (SCMP) in the region. You will work with the operating companies' Procurement and Supplier Quality teams to identify and resolve quality issues, ensuring that the company is getting the best value for its money. Additionally, you will be responsible for organizing and performing the annual management review of the regional procurement office quality management system.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Achieving department objectives related to managing the Supplier Audit program.
- Interfacing with suppliers and internal stakeholders to complete and close audits per schedule.
- Facilitating the SQE and SDE to support work transfer activities.
- Overseeing the First Article Inspection Report Compilation, First Article Flow Plan, and Source Inspection at Supplier Facilities.
- Working with the SDE and SQE to ensure suppliers’ manufacturing and inspection processes are capable and fully optimized, overseeing the execution of 8D’s and managing any supplier NoEs.
- Overseeing the APQP implementation at suppliers (AS9145).
- Monitoring and ensuring supplier quality and special process/customer approvals are maintained in the region.
- Driving continuous improvement, best practices, and standardized KPIs.
- Performing supplier evaluation audits covering supply chain risk assessment, capability assessment, Digital Product Definition, Product, and Special Process.
- Identifying compliance gaps and managing supplier corrective actions and improvement activities.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Aerospace, Engineering, or an equivalent technical field.
- A minimum of 7 years of relevant quality experience in an operations or supply chain environment.
- Understanding of Global Supply Chain Management.
- Auditor Certification.
- Ability to compile a quality management system and procedures.
- Understanding of Quality Management Principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Business Reporting Software.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration.
- Flexibility to travel.
- Advanced English language skills are a must.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical (Engineering) experience or aptitude to gain technical product knowledge.
- Knowledge of manufacturing and supply chain operations.
- Greenbelt or Blackbelt certification.
- Familiarity with AS9100, AS9102, and aerospace manufacturing.
- Familiarity with configuration control management practices.
