Job Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Managing and developing a two-person accounting team, setting goals, monitoring progress, and providing coaching.
- Process Improvement: Identifying and implementing initiatives to enhance efficiency.
- Financial Management: Overseeing accounting functions, including variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and executive reporting.
- Restructuring & Compliance: Handling financial forecasting, tax activities, grant accounting, and intercompany transactions.
- Month-End Close: Managing the SAP company calendar, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
- Insurance & Audits: Administering business insurance renewals and supporting internal/external audits.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring adherence to company policies, ISO 14001 (environmental management), and ISO 45001 (occupational health & safety).
- Ad Hoc Support: Assisting with additional tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- 5+ years of experience in an Accounting role within a large corporate environment.
- Experience in a manufacturing business.
- Preferably experience in an MNC.
- Proficiency in English (Fair to Good).
- Experience with SAP/ERP programs is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of general accounting principles, regulatory standards, and compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with the company’s operational model, policies and procedures, organizational structure, and interdepartmental relationships.
