The workforce is predominantly male, and safety awareness requires significant improvement. This role is a critical hire to drive change and establish a strong HSE culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing, implementing, and monitoring HSE policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with local regulations and international standards.
  • Leading a cultural shift towards safety by engaging employees and management in proactive safety initiatives.
  • Conducting risk assessments and implementing corrective measures to mitigate workplace hazards.
  • Providing training and coaching to employees and department heads to improve HSE awareness and compliance.
  • Monitoring and analyzing safety performance metrics, reporting to management on progress and areas of improvement.
  • Driving safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Collaborating with department heads (HR, Production, Plant Management) to integrate HSE strategies into daily operations.
  • Ensuring compliance with occupational health and environmental regulations.
  • Preparing and submitting necessary HSE reports to regulatory bodies and senior management.
  • Fostering a proactive safety culture where employees take ownership of workplace safety.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in an HSE role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Thai safety laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Proven experience in driving HSE transformation in an organization resistant to change.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and influencing skills to engage all levels of employees.
  • Ability to work independently and implement strategic safety initiatives.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Relevant HSE certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, ISO 45001, ISO 14001) are a plus.

Initially reporting to the Plant HR Manager, HSE responsibilities are currently managed by multiple department heads. If the candidate demonstrates strong leadership and impact, the role has the potential to be elevated to report directly to the Plant Manager in the future.
