Our client is a leading multinational healthcare company with a strong presence in Thailand. They specialize in B2B solutions, providing innovative products and services to healthcare providers, hospitals, and other medical institutions.
As part of their expansion, they are seeking a Senior Legal Manager to join their team and oversee all legal matters within the business, ensuring compliance and supporting the company’s growth in a highly regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing strategic legal advice and counsel to senior management on a variety of legal matters, including contracts, product regulations, intellectual property, and compliance within the healthcare and medical devices sectors.
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, including sales agreements, supply agreements, partnership deals, and distribution contracts with healthcare providers and business partners.
- Monitoring and advising on legal risks related to the healthcare industry, particularly medical devices, and ensuring the company is compliant with both local and international regulations.
- Working closely with the management team to support the company's business strategy while minimizing legal risks in its operations.
- Collaborating with legal teams in other regions and reporting directly to the line manager based in another country.
- Staying updated on changes in healthcare laws, medical device regulations, and industry standards, advising the company on their impact.
- Managing and resolving legal disputes and issues, ensuring effective outcomes for the company.
- Providing training and guidance to internal stakeholders on legal matters and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB or equivalent); or a Master’s degree or professional qualification (LLM, Bar) is a plus.
- At least 7+ years of legal experience, ideally within the healthcare, medical devices, or B2B sectors.
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare and medical device regulations, including product compliance, medical laws, and commercial practices.
- Experience in drafting and negotiating complex B2B contracts and agreements.
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken) – the role requires communication with the line manager and colleagues in other countries.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, global environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders across different regions.
