Our client is a thermal technology company.
Responsibilities:
- Applying engineering principles to design, modify, or develop facilities, testing, machines, equipment, or processes.
- Conducting analytical studies on engineering proposals to develop designs for products, equipment, machines, associated subsystems, components, and structures.
- Creating and releasing Engineering Drawings, Bills of Material (BOMs), ASME calculations, and routing.
- Analyzing data to determine the feasibility of product proposals; analyzing product or equipment specifications and performance requirements to select designs that existing manufacturing or processing facilities and methods can produce.
- Conferring with research personnel to clarify or resolve problems and developing design modifications as required.
- Preparing or directing product or system layout preparations, detailed drawings, and schematics; coordinating the manufacturing or building of prototype products or systems.
- Planning and developing experimental test programs; preventing or eliminating defects in new or existing products; evaluating results.
- Analyzing test data and reports to determine if the design meets functional and performance specifications.
- Studying engineering and technical publications to keep abreast of technological changes and developments in the industry.
- Completing work on time and within budget.
- Ensuring product fit, form, and function meet customer requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Engineering or related fields.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in the industrial business.
- Experience in design engineering or a related field.
- Knowledge of PC software applications such as AutoCAD is required; Solid Modeling and 3D Design are preferred.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as heavy equipment manufacturing, welding technology, control panels with systems-specific pressure vessels, piping, pump, fluid transfer, and heat transfer design experience.
- Experience reading, analyzing, and interpreting professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Experience with mathematical concepts and applying common-sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- ASME (Section VIII & Section I), PED, ATEX, NEC, NACE, ANSI, and TEMA code experience and familiarity preferred.
- Fluent in English.
