Position Overview

The Director of Finance is responsible for overseeing all financial management aspects of the hotel, ensuring profitability, accuracy, and compliance with financial regulations. This role includes strategic financial planning, budgeting, analysis, and leadership to drive the hotel’s financial performance and align financial goals with the overall business strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading and managing all financial functions, including reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Developing and executing financial strategies to increase profitability, reduce expenses, and optimize revenue.
  • Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
  • Overseeing the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring they are accurate and timely.
  • Providing in-depth financial analysis and insights to senior management for strategic decision-making.
  • Monitoring and managing cash flow, working capital, and capital expenditures.
  • Supervising and mentoring the finance team, fostering professional growth and high performance.
  • Coordinating with external auditors, tax authorities, and financial institutions to ensure compliance and efficient operations.
  • Identifying and mitigating financial risks while capitalizing on financial opportunities to benefit the hotel.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 7-10 years in financial management, including at least 3-5 years in a leadership position within the hospitality industry.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
    • Leadership abilities to manage and mentor a finance team.
    • Familiarity with financial systems and hospitality management software.
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
