Our client is one of the leading frozen and dry food manufacturing companies.
The company is seeking a suitable candidate for the position of Laboratory Assistant Manager, based at the manufacturing site in Samutsakorn.
Job Description:
- Leading and managing daily operations of the laboratory, ensuring all tests and processes adhere to quality and safety standards.
- Overseeing microbiological testing (80%) and chemical testing (20%) of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Developing, implementing, and reviewing laboratory procedures, SOPs, and quality manuals.
- Ensuring that all equipment is calibrated, validated, and maintained for accurate and reliable results.
- Supervising, training, and mentoring laboratory staff to ensure high performance and adherence to quality standards.
- Assigning tasks and projects effectively, monitoring performance, and providing regular feedback to team members.
- Ensuring compliance with food safety standards, such as ISO 17025, HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, Halal, and BRC.
- Maintaining accurate and detailed laboratory records and reports for audits and inspections.
- Conducting root cause analysis for non-conformance issues and implementing corrective actions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Microbiology, Chemistry, Food Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in food manufacturing.
- Knowledge of food safety standards such as GMP, HACCP, Halal, BRC, etc.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Good command of English.
