Job Description

Our client is a globally renowned leader in the packaging and machinery industry and is seeking a skilled professional to join their team.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing the Division Purchasing Strategy in alignment with the overall Division Strategy.
  • Managing relationships with local and international suppliers to meet cost and quality targets.
  • Establishing and standardizing purchasing and materials management processes for both direct and indirect materials.
  • Overseeing the Master Production Schedule process, ensuring production schedules align with capacity and material availability while optimizing ERP system functionality.
  • Identifying and negotiating with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing that supports EBITDA objectives.
  • Leading the supplier VAVE (Value Analysis/Value Engineering) process.
  • Enhancing facility operations by developing systems to monitor all cost elements effectively.
  • Sourcing vendors for materials, equipment, and supplies, conducting evaluations to determine product availability, and negotiating terms.
  • Overseeing and managing the Purchasing Department budget and related financial reports.
  • Reviewing purchase order claims and contracts to ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Developing and enforcing purchasing and contract management policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Contributing to equipment, product, and substitute material specification development.
  • Resolving supplier grievances and disputes.
  • Evaluating, approving, and monitoring supplier performance.
  • Leading and coordinating activities related to the procurement, sale, and distribution of materials, equipment, and supplies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Business Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 15 years of experience in purchasing, with 5-7 years in a managerial role within a multinational organization.
  • Proven expertise in managing manufacturing processes and driving productivity and efficiency improvements.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in goal setting and multitasking.
  • Exceptional decision-making capabilities and leadership abilities.
  • Proficiency in English communication skills.
