Job Description
Our client is an innovative family-owned business headquartered in Switzerland, committed to promoting comprehensive oral health through its own brand. With a focus on improving health worldwide, they develop, market, and distribute their dental products in over 90 countries across six continents.
They are seeking a Brand Design Lead for the APAC region, reporting to the HQ’s Brand and Design department and the APAC HUB. This role will be responsible for guiding the design direction in the APAC market, ensuring all designs align with brand guidelines. The primary focus will be overseeing the creative quality of the brand’s content design across the APAC region, taking full ownership of all branded content produced and ensuring consistent, high-quality execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Integrating with HQ: Actively participating in HQ's branding task distribution and communication processes. Owning and managing the Branding Requests (Asana Board) for the APAC region.
- Leading Local Design: Coaching, inspiring, and collaborating with local designers while working hands-on on design projects directed by HQ. Adapting designs for localization in the APAC market as necessary.
- Building Relationships: Fostering strong relationships with local designers through regular meetings, assessing their branded materials, offering improvement suggestions, and providing visual guidance for local marketing activities.
- Ensuring Consistency Across Markets: Ensuring consistent use of visual resources across local markets by providing adapted templates and guidelines for materials like product presentations, exhibition displays, and promotional assets.
- Collaborating Between HQ and APAC Hub: Acting as a bridge between HQ and the APAC Hub to support brand-building efforts in the region, sharing best practices, and aligning local teams with HQ’s brand directives.
Qualifications and Experience
- Fluency in English: Proficiency in English to manage work requests and communicate effectively with local teams.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Visual Communication, Design Management, Brand Design, or a related field.
- Professional Experience: Over 5 years of experience in design roles such as Senior Designer, Brand Designer, Design Manager, or Art Director within creative agencies or in-house teams.
- Design Skills: Expertise in Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator. Familiarity with BAM tools such as Frontify and Miro is a plus.
- Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing an exceptional sense of aesthetics and a deep understanding of brand design, layout design, and packaging for FMCG or retail consumer products.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively present and explain design concepts.
- Personal Traits: An enthusiastic, confident, and organized self-starter who thrives in virtual teams and enjoys working across multiple geographies.
