Job Description
Our client is a specialist in the international logistics business.
They are currently seeking an Assistant Manager (Customer Service) to join their team.
Responsibilities:
- Managing and overseeing export cargo operations, including FCL and LCL consolidation, air shipments, and CFS operations.
- Coordinating and collaborating with shippers, carriers, overseas counterparts, and overseas buyers.
- Managing and monitoring the team to perform tasks and provide timely updates on shipment visibility status, ensuring alignment with customers’ SOPs and KPIs, and ensuring smooth operations with no failures.
- Taking short-term assignments to travel and work overseas in Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar, and/or Bangladesh.
- Providing weekly reports to the CSV manager regarding team productivity and outstanding/pending bookings/service failures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in any field.
- 5+ years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, sea freight export, or a related field.
- Experience in team management is an advantage.
- Experience in sea freight export is preferred.
- Good command of English.
- Willingness to travel and work overseas.
