Job Description

Our client is a large private hospital.

They are seeking a Radiation Oncologist to join the team. You will be responsible for developing individualized treatment plans, providing patient care, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluating and diagnosing patients with cancer and other diseases requiring radiation therapy.
  • Developing and implementing tailored treatment plans based on the latest clinical guidelines and patient needs.
  • Utilizing advanced radiation therapy techniques and technologies, including 3D conformal radiation therapy, intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), and stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS).
  • Monitoring patient progress and treatment effectiveness, adjusting plans as necessary.
  • Collaborating with medical and surgical oncologists, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and hospital policies.
  • Staying current with advancements in radiation oncology and participating in ongoing education and training.
  • Participating in multidisciplinary tumour board meetings, providing expert recommendations on treatment options.
  • Engaging in patient education, and providing information on treatment processes, side effects, and aftercare.
  • Mentoring and training medical students, residents, and other staff as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree (MD).
  • Board Certified in Radiation Oncology.
  • Experience in radiation oncology.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to empathize with patients and their families.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and radiation therapy planning software.
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous professional development.
