Job Description
Our client is the world’s leading manufacturer and supplier of commercial home appliances.
Responsibilities:
- Creating new Bill of Materials (BOM) with routings in the ERP system and coordinating changes to existing BOMs.
- Coordinating with various departments (e.g., Marketing, Engineering, Production, Purchasing, and Planning) to stay informed of new BOMs or BOM changes.
- Communicating with designers to ensure the correct interpretation of design documentation.
- Investigating identified implementation issues and providing process feedback to update BOM files.
- Communicating issues and/or project status to stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
- Assisting in the development and implementation of tools, processes, and procedures for use by the BOM Specialist and other functional areas to ensure accurate BOMs.
- Verifying BOM and BOM routing with actual usage in collaboration with concerned departments, such as Manufacturing Engineering.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field (preferred).
- At least 5 years of working experience in a BOM role in a manufacturing environment.
- Good knowledge of materials management, supply chain fundamentals, and manufacturing processes.
- Advanced troubleshooting and communication skills.
- Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel).
- Experience in SAP is an advantage.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Flexibility and ability to multi-task.
