Our client is well known Hospital.
They are looking for a Purchasing Manager. The Purchasing Manager works closely with medical staff, suppliers, and the finance department to secure high-quality materials at competitive prices.
Responsibilities
- Developing and implementing procurement strategies in line with the hospital’s operational needs and budgetary constraints.
- Identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, and securing the best terms for the hospital.
- Evaluating and managing supplier performance, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
- Maintaining a list of qualified vendors for medical supplies, equipment, and services.
- Monitoring inventory levels and ensure that critical supplies are stocked to meet demand without over-purchasing.
- Working with inventory teams to implement effective stock management systems, minimizing wastage or shortages.
- Monitoring procurement budgets, track expenditures, and seek opportunities to reduce costs.
- Analyzing purchasing trends to forecast future needs and develop cost-effective solutions.
- Ensuring all purchases comply with legal regulations, healthcare standards, and hospital policies.
- Verifying the quality and safety of purchased items, ensuring they meet the required healthcare standards.
- Working closely with medical, finance, and administrative teams to understand their purchasing needs and ensure timely procurement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years in a purchasing or supply chain role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare supplies, equipment, and vendor networks.
- Proficiency in procurement software and inventory management systems.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
- Ability to manage budgets and control costs.
