Job Description:
- Installing and configuring computer hardware, operating systems, and applications.
- Maintaining computer systems and networks.
- Talking to staff or clients through a series of actions, either face-to-face or over the phone, to help set up systems or resolve issues.
- Troubleshooting system and network problems, diagnosing, and solving hardware or software faults.
- Replacing parts as required.
- Providing support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports.
- Following diagrams and written instructions to repair faults or set up systems.
- Supporting the roll-out of new applications.
- Setting up new users' accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues.
- Working continuously on tasks until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate).
- Conducting electrical safety checks on computer equipment.
- Working on the Global Infra project to implement Group IT Standards.
- Studying and developing collaborative solutions.
- Managing PC/software inventories and license costs per department.
Key Qualifications & Skills:
- At least 1-2 years of IT support experience.
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networks.
- Strong IT support skills, including managing budgets, schedules, and resources.
- Fair command of English.
- Experience in the manufacturing industry will be given special consideration.
- Willingness to accept a 1-year contract (renewable annually).
