Job Description
Our client is the world’s leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, off-highway diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines and diesel-electric locomotives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises maintenance activities including planning maintenance and troubleshooting for both process maintenance and utilities & facilities. Critical machines and equipment are machining machines, welding robots and paint lines.
What Will You Do
- Collaborating with engineers, partners and suppliers to meet business goals following the sustainable use of facilities and budget demands.
- Constructing an efficient facility maintenance team and guiding training sessions to ensure quality performance.
- Evaluating the operation's effectiveness with current utilities and equipment; provides appropriate solutions to challenges and risks.
- Overseeing inspections, repairs and updates of facilities and relevant operational activities; maintains order at the facility.
Skills Required for this Role
Effectiveness Measurement: Knowledge of effective measurement techniques and ability to measure the quality and quantity of work effort for improvement.
Level Working Knowledge
- Under guidance, reports measurement results in actionable form to management.
- Interprets and analyzes results vs. established benchmarks.
- Establishes short-range and long-range improvement goals for own function.
- Uses assigned measurements for own function or specialization.
- Under guidance, develop action plans to achieve those goals.
Manufacturing Application Systems: Knowledge of company and industry databases and applications used in a manufacturing environment; ability to operate, maintain and update these systems.
Level Working Knowledge
- Uses and maintains information or data stored in specific applications; reports unusual situations.
- Documents the major interfaces and dependencies to and from other systems.
- Follows procedures for the maintenance and upkeep of the databases.
- Uses all basic features of the information system in the context of own work.
- Works with a specific type of manufacturing application or information system.
Manufacturing Equipment: Knowledge of the electrical, mechanical and logistics equipment used in manufacturing; ability to safely operate, maintain, update and store them.
Level Working Knowledge
- Performs routine maintenance: cleaning, and replacing defective or worn parts.
- Performs basic care and safety considerations for a specific type of manufacturing equipment.
- Participates in setting up new machines and testing according to manufacturer's specifications.
- Uses standard diagnostic tools and techniques; resolves common problems.
- Conducts routine inspections; checks machine performance and equipment safeguards; reports standards violations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering or Electrical engineering
- Basic understanding of mechanical/electrical engineering/utilities/facilities.
- Knowledge of PLC, machining machines, welding robots and paint machines.
- Experience in high leadership with team and people management.
- Excellent knowledge and communication in English.
