Job Description

Our client is in the Computer and Electronics Manufacturing industry.

They are looking for a Factory R&D Leader to expand the R&D team in Chonburi.

Responsibilities

• Leading and expanding the R&D team.
• Understanding and supporting the design and development processes for electronic products, specifically in electronic, software, or mechanical areas.
• Coordinating with design teams in China and Taiwan, providing support during trial runs and testing phases.
• Identifying, reporting, and debugging issues that arise during trial production runs in the Thailand factory.
• Handling design-related challenges on the ground when designers are not present.
• Ensuring effective communication and collaboration with R&D centres in China and Taiwan.
• Utilizing basic Design of Experiments (DOE) principles to improve processes and resolve issues.
• Managing the basic lab area for R&D activities.
• Operating from the R&D office within the manufacturing facility.
• Potentially taking full ownership of engineering design for experienced and seasoned candidates capable of managing a team of experienced engineers.
• Strong reporting and documentation skills to communicate with the engineering team outside Thailand.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronic, Mechanical, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with embedded systems firmware and proficiency in C programming.
• Fluency in Thai and English/ Chinese (both speaking and writing).
• Coming from the electronic industry or electronic products related.
• 5+ years of experience in electronic product design and manufacturing.
• Proven leadership experience, managing team.
• Strong understanding of the design and development of electronic products.
• Strong reporting and documentation skills.
• Willingness to attend a 3-month training in China and Taiwan.
