Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Financial Operations: Manages day-to-day financial activities such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance within Thailand.
  • Financial Reporting: Ensures timely and accurate financial reporting specific to Thailand operations, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements, and provides insights on financial performance.
  • Budget Management: Works with department heads to develop and manage budgets, monitors spending, and analyzes variances to ensure fiscal responsibility within the Thai operations.
  • Internal Controls: Establishes and maintains robust internal controls to ensure compliance with financial policies, prevent errors, and mitigate risks, focusing on local regulations and standards.
  • Team Leadership: Leads the accounting team in Thailand, fostering a collaborative and performance-driven environment.
  • Process Improvement: Identifies opportunities for enhancing efficiency and accuracy in financial operations within the local context.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicates financial insights and trends relevant to Thailand's operations to support strategic decision-making.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensures adherence to Thailand's tax regulations and financial reporting requirements.
  • Financial Analysis: Provides analysis specific to the local cost structures, revenue streams, and profitability enhancement opportunities.
  • Business Partnership: Collaborates with teams across functions within Thailand to understand business needs and offer financial guidance.
  • Risk Management: Assesses and develops strategies to mitigate financial risk specific to the Thai market

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Over 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role, preferably within Thailand or a similar market.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Thailand's financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel, and familiarity with financial software and ERP systems suited to Thai operations.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with fluency in English or a TOEIC score of 725 or higher. Proficiency in Thai is highly advantageous.
