Job Description

Our client operates a manufacturing business producing malt extract powder, malt, and liquor made from rice.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the product development process.
  • Managing new product development process and improving projects (Screening RM until product commercial production and launch to market).
  • Leading technical part of new product development project assigned by R&D Manager.
  • Preparing and monitoring project timelines & development plans together with concerned departments.
  • Ensuring the product meets product/process development targets related to shelf life and compliance.
  • Suggesting appropriate process designs & selections depending on product requirements.
  • Performing prototype development & improvement until attending final product that meets consumer and customer needs.
  • Coordinating with internal & external departments for production trial runs, sensory tests, product analysis & other NPD activities.
  • Improving existing products by adjusting product formula, process, raw material replacement etc. to have the benefit of cost saving (CEP), line efficiency, product palatability and quality.
  • Arranging and leading meetings with related functions to update the status of each project. Preparing follow up action plans and process solutions for any issue to ensure the achievement of the agreed launch plan.
  • Ensuring the finished product meets with the targeted shelf life, and process any extension if unmet with the target by giving technical & experiment support.
  • Ensuring the documents are well recorded during the product development process for efficient future tracking.
  • Support all quality systems i.e. GHP, HACCP, ISO, Halal etc.
  • Perform other assignments as assigned by the NPD Manager/Regional Technical Service Director.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science or a related food field.
  • Minimum of 5 years working experience in F&B manufacturing.
  • Good command of English.
  • High leadership skills with a high level of commitment.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Able to collaborate with others.
