Roles & Responsibilities

  • Taking charge of the Customs Team, providing leadership and mentorship.
  • Conducting training sessions for teams on customs rules and optimal practices for Free Zone Enterprises processes.
  • Collaborating with local customs teams in various locations.
  • Staying abreast of legislative changes affecting the organization.
  • Supporting the Logistics Team in ensuring seamless import and export processes within the Free Zone.
  • Handling all necessary customs reporting.
  • Assisting Customs during on-site visits and audits.
  • Acting as the primary expert for all customs-related matters.
  • Engaging in a variety of company and team events and initiatives.
  • Overseeing after-hours support as required.
  • Supporting ad-hoc tasks, encompassing system design and daily operations, to maintain the seamless functioning of the manufacturing facility.
  • Assuming a crucial role within the senior management team during a growth phase, especially concerning the construction of a new facility.

Qualifications

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of team management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Free zone customs laws, legislation, and processes.
  • Experienced Customs Manager with effective communication skills, collaborating across all organizational levels.
  • Ability to establish and nurture internal and external relationships.
  • Thorough understanding and communication of customs principles, practices, standards, regulations, and laws to ensure compliance.
  • Proficient in written and verbal English for effective communication.
  • Proficient in engaging with customs authorities, actively seeking guidance on emerging legislation, and providing support during audits and Free Zone inventory counts.
