Job Description

Our client is the largest operator of petroleum refining and distribution in Thailand.

They are currently looking for a suitable candidate for the position of Inspection Helper.

 Job Description

  • Assisting an Area Inspector to inspect the machinery equipment and other systems and to detect malfunctions or damages if any.
  • Performing work planning, managing and carrying out scheduled inspection and thickness measurements (OSI) of stationary equipment, under the responsible work assigned by the plant inspector.
  • Performing work under close supervision to ensure that all the regulations and safety norms have been accomplished while conducting the work process.
  • Being able to follow the standards operating processes of the establishment.
  • Being able to coordinate with other team members for the work processes.
  • Being able to complete all tasks which are assigned by the area inspector within the specified time limit.
  • Reporting to the area inspector about the damages and the technical defects.
  • Being able to handle and use all the testing tools and repair equipment appropriately.

Qualifications

  • Male.
  • Diploma in mechanical technical engineering or related fields.
  • Certified ASNT level 1 by the type of work they are expected to perform, for either UT, RT or SM and/or certified welding inspector program from the approved NDT agencies.
  • Having experience in stationary equipment inspection for 3-10 years.
  • Ability to use the Computer for communication, recording, reporting, etc.
  • The incumbent is required to deal with using sophisticated NDT inspection tools of various implications such as UT, RT, PT, and MT for each particular field inspection and purpose.
  • The incumbent is required to be knowledgeable to develop better inspection techniques for a particular application to obtain data helping with equipment soundness assessment.
  • Good coordination with other sections to establish common goals and targets, and complete work scope, specification and plans.
  • Good logical thinking and identifying all critical activities/ problems to establish realistic plans.
  • Having effective communication with all levels of people.
  • The incumbent will have to be self-starting and hands-on type.
  • Good understanding of mechanical plant equipment inspection techniques plus sound knowledge of corrosion/degradation mechanism and material selection.
  • A healthy body, normal vision, not afraid of height, able to crawl in confined spaces.
