Our client is the largest operator of petroleum refining and distribution in Thailand.
They are currently looking for a suitable candidate for the position of Civil Designer (3 Years Contract).
Job Description
- Correcting problems by applying engineering knowledge, as advised by his supervisor.
- Answering feedback on technical issues to users, clients, and contractors.
- Ensuring that the supporting documentation required to implement the design is accurate, concise, complete, and clear.
- Ensuring that the documentation for the design remains accurate and current during the design development.
- Concluding and making recommendations.
- Designing civil installation details for In‐house projects under the supervision of a Senior Designer.
- Providing/Assigning Civil Equipment Tags for new projects as advised by his supervisor. Ensuring that the assigned Tags do not duplicate existing ones.
- Ensuring that the daily operation of the drawing office related to civil drawings is carried on smoothly.
- Revising the drawings according to users’ requests (Civil Change Request or Drawing As Built).
- Ensuring that the drawings in the system are user-friendly, searchable, and able to be accessed (read‐only) by authorized users.
- Strictly following procedures set up to ensure drawing integrity.
- Learning/Understanding the hazards and consequent risks related to QSHE.
Qualifications
- Experience with Building and Equipment Installation Design and As-built work of about 3-5 years.
- Experience with quality checks and standardizing for construction work.
- Experience with a similar Refinery or Petrochemical plant for Project Designer.
- Experience with Plot Plan Layout EQ GA, Pipe Rack Design, and Steel and Concrete Structure Drawings.
- Experience with Process Plot plan layout and drainage system.
- Experience with Document and Drawing Control systems.
- Good knowledge of personal computer and application packages (basic).
- Good knowledge of Mechanical Equipment Basic design i.e., Pump, Compressor, Vessel, Column, Tank, Boiler, Reactor,
- Cooling Tower, Mixer, Generator, etc.
- Ability to use AutoCAD, Sketch Up, and Microsoft Office to design pipe racks, Drainage systems, Pipe shoes, Steel MTO, etc.
- Ability to use SP tools, and CADWorx to design 3D models.
