Job Description

Our client is a world leader in aeronautics equipment and systems for commercial, regional, and business aircraft, as well as helicopters and space applications. Its main areas of expertise are comfort and conditions on board aircraft, onboard systems, and safety, both in flight and on the ground.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining the production element of the industrial dossier, mainly the Manufacturing Bill of Materials, Routers, and Standardized work instructions (including operation’s allocated time).
• Managing deliverables during the manufacturing (production) engineering phase, such as production documentation and industrial validation.
• Providing feedback to design engineering to improve product design for ease of manufacturing, optimization of cost, weight reduction, and time to manufacture the product.
• Identifying the necessary investments and overseeing their implementation.
• At the product design phase: Ensuring that production constraints and opportunities are considered - evaluate the robustness of industrial arrangements - propose changes to definition files to make production cost, quality, and delivery objectives easier to achieve.
• Solving prototype manufacturing issues and communicating solutions to design engineering.
• Reviewing 2D drawings for manufacturability.
• Performing time studies, developing work breakdowns, and developing standard work instructions.
• Contributing to the costing proposals submitted to customers.
• Leading and participating in Kaizen and 3P events to develop improvements and plans.
• Supporting Departmental and Personal Objectives/Measurements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial, Aeronautical, Mechanical Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Experience:  3-5 years in Manufacturing Engineer or related field.
• Good command of English.
• Proficient with Windows Operating System®, Office 365.
• Knowledge of design software, Power BI.
• Experience with airworthiness regulations, and LEAN tools such as valve stream mapping (VSM) “5S”, Lean – Six Sigma Certified.
