Job Description

Our client is a world leader in machinery assembly.

Responsibilities:

The candidate will be responsible for the following key functions:

  • Developing an understanding of customer needs and taking action to ensure those needs are met.
  • Ensuring the team follows customer service processes, from quoting to delivering goods.
  • Coordinating among concerned parties such as production planning, procurement, supply chain, and forwarders to ensure ship dates are met.
  • Maintaining and improving logistics costs and evaluating forwarder performance.
  • Monitoring logistics spending and in-transit shipments.
  • Actively participating in cost and lead time reduction, documentation, and communication to achieve targeted performance.
  • Following the progress of orders and applicable revisions to ensure shipments align with product specifications and delivery dates.
  • Providing inside sales support and contributing to best practices and process improvement.
  • Managing and supervising the team to meet company goals on time.
  • Tracking KPI performance of the Customer Care team and monitoring improvements to meet appropriate standards.
  • Coaching and training the Order Management team to improve performance.
  • Creating and maintaining internal reports for senior management on sales projections and shipment risks.
  • Representing the Asia Pacific team in communication with other global customer service teams.
  • Leading as the primary point of contact for problem-solving within the team.
  • Performing other related, incidental, and similar duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of import/export operations and customer service.
  • 5–7 years of experience in production within a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Experience working in a multinational environment, preferably within the APAC region.
  • Strong analytical skills, initiative, dynamism, and attention to detail.
  • Team player who thrives in a busy, demanding environment.
  • Computer literacy, with experience in SAP systems.
  • Very good command of written and spoken English.
