Our client specializes in aseptic carton packaging and filling technology for food and beverages.
We are seeking a highly skilled Tooling Specialist to join their team and contribute to the continuous improvement of production efficiency, tool quality, and maintenance processes.
Job Role and Responsibilities:
- Providing and preparing the production machine tools for setting and adjusting machines in the production process to maintain tool quality and efficiency.
- Performing machining work for spare parts and maintenance, including fabricating spare parts and repairing machine components.
- Leading breakdown analysis on tool-related issues in collaboration with the MT and PD teams. Implementing preventive actions to achieve quick wins and prevent recurrence.
- Reviewing and preparing spare parts and consumables, ensuring part availability and optimizing stock levels. Conducting incoming inspections and comparing parts with the most recent drawings.
- Leading the standardization of tool-making processes, focusing on operations, setup, adjustments, and preventive maintenance programs. Improving lead time for all activities.
- Leading the preventive maintenance program, ensuring timely follow-up, availability of spare parts, and proper work instructions. Summarizing activities and providing feedback on any abnormalities, with proposed solutions.
- Driving cost reduction efforts on consumable parts while ensuring production quality is maintained.
- Participating in and adhering to all company rules and regulations, including the Code of Conduct, Data Privacy, Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption policies, Acceptable Use Policy, Basic and Advanced Security Awareness, Information Protection, Competencies Framework, Social Media Guidelines, safety and quality systems, QMS, BRC, Halal, ISO, Food Safety, and Environmental Health and Safety standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering and/or Tooling Engineering or related fields.
- At least 5 years of experience in Tooling Pin & Die and Cutting Tools, with expertise in:
- Predictive and preventive tooling maintenance
- Tool and die setting, qualification, and calibration
- Standard tool setting procedures
- Use of measurement tools (Micrometer, roughness meter, precision machining alignment tools such as laser, dial gauge, fit and tolerance, torque control)
- CAD CAM (AutoCAD)
- Technical drawing (Tooling, components, spare parts)
- Tooling spare part control
