Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
- Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting/controlling departments.
- Managing the monthly/year-end closing process and ensuring that all financial reports are promptly and accurately prepared, following relevant regulations, laws, and standards.
- Implementing accounting policies, programs, and systems to control assets in the area of responsibility and providing complete, updated, and accurate financial information and records.
- Coordinating external and internal audits, including year-end financial audits and other audits.
- Ensuring that all tax returns, tax declarations, and other required reports are submitted accurately and on time for both direct and indirect cash and duty matters.
- Interacting with external stakeholders, such as banks and local tax authorities.
- Managing tax compliance and planning activities for the respective country following local tax regulations.
- Being responsible for accounting/controlling-related projects, if any.
Treasury:
- Managing, directing, and controlling the financial, accounting, and treasury activities in a region, country, or business unit.
- Developing, maintaining, and implementing financial plans, forecasts, and analyses (revenues, liabilities, credit conditions, etc.); managing daily cash transactions; compiling, verifying, and analyzing cash flow information to prepare accurate reports.
- Planning short-term financial requirements; negotiating, administering, and repaying loans; maintaining cash management programs; conducting financial feasibility studies and participating in the financial planning process; managing and supervising the receipt, custody, control, and disbursement of funds and securities, as well as banking, credit, and investment functions.
Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Leading and coordinating the annual budgeting process, as well as monthly and quarterly forecasts.
- Performing periodic variance analysis of budgeted, forecasted, and actual financial performance.
- Being responsible for management reports on company financial performance and variance analysis results and providing support in financial reviews.
- Assisting in identifying and implementing financially and operationally relevant key performance indicators across and within respective business units.
- Steering and tracking financial performance improvements together with the local leadership team.
- Monitoring and highlighting trends with resulting implications, analyzing business drivers and the causes of unexpected variance, and providing recommendations to drive efficiency in support of strategic initiatives.
- Partnering with business heads to provide support concerning accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Communicating and presenting periodical financial reports.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or other relevant fields of education.
- Minimum 8-10 years of progressive relevant work experience, including leadership responsibilities.
- Good ERP knowledge in FI/CO (preferably SAP).
