Responsibilities:
- Managing and supervising the accounting and reporting team.
- Reviewing all P&L accounts and comparing them with forecasts to identify any significant accruals.
- Preparing journal vouchers for accruing certain expenses or direct costs for monthly/year-end closing.
- Reviewing all balance sheet accounts and making adjustments to meet WPP guidelines, including analyzing variances compared to the previous year.
- Preparing and reporting all required information for Cartesis, ensuring accuracy and timely submission. Also responding to any queries regarding these reports.
- Preparing accurate information on client profitability by client and agency.
- Preparing a monthly file for RB provision & revenue by client, as well as reconciling RB received with AR provision monthly, including preparing RB provision reconciliation in Adept.
- Preparing any other monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports.
- Reviewing and verifying intercompany transactions, including communicating and confirming balances with other parties. Also retrieving intercompany transactions in the ICS system monthly.
- Cooperating with agency MD & FD on financial monthly information, addressing key issues that need resolution.
- Preparing and managing special reports for local management, including local FS, billing & income by type and client, AR ageing with analysis of outstanding balances over 90 days, unbilled media, and accrued revenue for all outstanding amounts.
- Preparing the annual corporate income tax, including deferred tax, to meet local and HQ accounting standard requirements. This includes preparing tax adjustments in Adept.
- Co-reviewing and monitoring monthly closing processes with the accounting team to ensure accurate accounts. Additionally, helping the reporting team understand agency business and transactions.
- Preparing and coordinating with internal & external audits.
- Supervising the reporting and accounting team, assisting in resolving issues, and providing training to improve team performance.
- Supporting all management requirements.
- Managing other ad-hoc special projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
- Experience in the audit field is preferred.
- Experience in data modelling is an advantage.
- Basic communication skills in English.
