Key Responsibilities:
- Making underwriting decisions for new business applications; approving the coverages applied for, modifying or rating up coverages, or denying the coverage.
- Analyzing the minimum required information as necessary to reach a sound decision.
- Escalating cases beyond authority to an authorized person promptly by summarizing the details with a recommended action or decision.
- Providing advice for cases related to underwriting referred by staff from other functions (e.g., policy services, call center, branch staff, etc.).
- Working Hours: Mon-Fri: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM.
Qualifications:
- At least 1-3 years of experience in the relevant field.
- Detail-oriented and able to work well under pressure.
- Proficient in Excel, including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.
- Skilled in basic computer programs, including Microsoft Office and Internet applications.
- Fair to good proficiency in English.
