Job Description
Our client is one of the largest EMS industries, seeking a results-driven and detail-oriented RFQ Manager to oversee the Request for Quotation (RFQ) process.
This position is ideal for a professional with strong analytical skills and expertise in cost analysis, pricing strategy, and supplier coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinating with Sales/Program Managers for RFQ requests.
- Reviewing RFQ packages and providing feedback to the sender for additional document requirements.
- Preparing documents and information for RFQs and determining the location (BKK or SQ) to quote each component.
- Acting as the interface between Sales/Program Managers and Purchasing/Engineering for any questions related to the RFQ.
- Coordinating with Sales/Program Managers for RFQ submission dates, then following up with Purchasing/Engineering to ensure timely quote submission.
- Reviewing material costs from Purchasing and HPU (High Power Unit) information from Engineering to ensure the costs are reasonable.
- Rolling up quotes and submitting them to management for review/approval.
- Tracking RFQ logs and filing quotes.
- Transferring all project information to the assigned Program Manager when the quote is won.
- Overseeing the Engineering Service organization.
Key Accountability Areas:
- Coordinating with Sales/Program Managers and Purchasing/Engineering to ensure the submission of a quality quote to the customer.
- Coordinating with Purchasing/Engineering to ensure that quotes are submitted on time.
- Ensuring that quality and timely quotes lead to stronger customer relationships.
- Overseeing the administration of the Engineering Service organization to fully support concerned departments.
- Ensuring that Purchasing/Engineering has sufficient information to quote accurately.
- Ensuring that Sales/Program Managers receive quotes on time.
- Ensuring that quotes meet quality standards.
- Overseeing the administration of the Engineering Service organization to provide full support to the departments concerned.
Requirements:
- At least 5-7 years of experience in RFQ management or a similar role within the EMS industry.
- Strong expertise in cost analysis, pricing strategy, and supplier coordination.
- Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with Sales, Purchasing, and Engineering teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems for RFQ management and tracking.
- Ability to handle multiple RFQs simultaneously and ensure timely, quality submissions.
