Job Description
Our client is an automotive parts service provider.
Responsibilities:
- Researching vehicle equipment to ensure new product compatibility with all target application versions.
- Measuring and analyzing OEM and AM competitor samples.
- Designing AM products to exceed OEM specifications and meet customer requirements.
- Managing RFQ, design, and PPAP phases with internal and external teams.
- Supporting prototype builds tool tryouts, and PPAP activities.
- Conducting fitment and ride testing of off-tool samples.
- Preparing ECNs, BOMs, and drawings for new products and design changes.
- Developing data for product catalogs.
- Providing engineering support and technical information to internal and external customers.
- Assisting production, quality control, and problem-solving efforts.
- Identifying and implementing cost reduction opportunities.
- Ensuring compliance with quality, environmental, and safety standards (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in CAD software and MS Office.
- Strong mechanical engineering knowledge.
- Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in automotive design engineering.
- Familiarity with AM development processes and direct AM customer interactions.
- Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
- Passion for motor vehicles, with prior shock absorber product experience.
