PRTR IT Recruitment is supporting our client, a professional provider of information technology and telecommunications.
Job Description:
- Understanding or being willing to learn how to install and configure telecommunication hardware, software, and networks (such as OLT, ONU, TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, and NMS).
- Continuously monitoring and maintaining systems and networks.
- Responding to technical support calls from staff members or clients, and providing clear communication on how to resolve issues.
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting system and network problems, software faults, or hardware complications.
- Supporting or occasionally providing on-site assistance for the roll-out of new installations, upgrades, replacements, dismantling, or maintenance of sites.
- Keeping detailed records of issues and their solutions for future reference.
- Providing on-site assistance for installations, upgrades, maintenance, and dismantling as needed.
- If requested to support during the night, the candidate may request leave for the following day (this is not frequent).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunication, Network Engineering, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of work experience as a Technical Engineer, including installing wiring, modems, and Wi-Fi.
- Technical English speaking skills (working with Chinese).
- Basic knowledge of telecommunication network infrastructure, including installation and configuration of OLT, ONU, and NMS, or a willingness to learn.
- Understanding of networking principles (TCP/IP, LAN, WAN), with the ability to troubleshoot basic system and network issues.
- Familiarity with telecommunication hardware and software, and network monitoring tools is an advantage but not required.
