Position Overview
The Engineering Manager oversees the smooth operation and maintenance of all hotel systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical infrastructure. This role ensures a safe and comfortable environment for guests and staff while upholding the hotel's 5-star standards and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervising the maintenance, repair, and operation of hotel systems and facilities.
- Ensuring all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems meet safety and performance standards.
- Leading, training, and supporting the engineering team, addressing technical challenges, and promoting best practices.
- Monitoring and managing energy usage, implementing cost-saving and efficiency strategies.
- Collaborating with other departments to schedule maintenance activities and promptly addressing emergencies.
- Maintaining detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
- Ensuring strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
- Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years in hotel engineering, with at least 2 years in a supervisory position within a 5-star hotel environment.
- Skills:
- Strong technical expertise in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Effective leadership, problem-solving, and team management abilities.
- Proficiency in budgeting, inventory management, and energy efficiency measures.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
