Job Scope:

  • Developing and executing trade/channel marketing campaigns and promotional strategies tailored to product categories and target channels.
  • Overseeing the entire product lifecycle, managing inventory levels to balance sales goals while minimizing the risk of aged stock.
  • Collaborating with the brand team to develop pricing strategies that drive sales while maintaining appropriate profit margins for each channel.
  • Working closely with brands and advertising agencies to ensure proper distribution and placement of marketing materials and media across channels.
  • Preparing data analysis reports and presentations to track and communicate performance.
  • Leading Below-the-Line (BTL) marketing strategies, including assortment, pricing, distribution, and in-store communication.
  • Managing field force execution and ensuring adherence to in-store standards and guidelines.
  • Monitoring industry trends and competitors to identify new growth opportunities.
  • Conducting research and analysis to identify potential new markets for the company’s products or services.
  • Tracking ROI and managing budgets effectively to support sales growth with a corporate-wide perspective.
  • Coaching and developing team members, fostering creativity and an understanding of packaging design concepts.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with the sales team to synchronize plans for effective implementation.
  • Working with the R&D team to manage new product launches, driving incremental sales and cost-effectiveness.
  • Implementing marketing activities that enhance brand awareness and achieve sales goals.
  • Strengthening brand equity through targeted marketing initiatives to increase visibility and recognition.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Retail Marketing, Trade Marketing, Category Management, or Modern Trade Sales within the Consumer Goods/FMCG sector.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, project management, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) is required, and experience with consumer panel data (e.g., Nielsen) is a plus.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure.
  • Experience in pricing and promotional strategy, with a strong background in trade marketing and commercial finance analysis.
  • Willingness to work in upcountry areas for short periods.
  • Experience developing trade/channel marketing campaigns and promotional strategies, focusing on product categories and target channels.
  • Ability to execute the right tools to build brand awareness and influence purchasing decisions.
