Our client is the biggest and most famous wholesale/retail business in Thailand.
Job Description:
- Analyzing complex financial reports and records.
- Overseeing vendor payments (purchase goods, insurance, duty, and clearing expenses for overseas transactions) and ensuring accuracy.
- Performing variance analyses and preparing account reconciliations.
- Assisting with bank, financial, and tax audits.
- Performing month-end closing procedures, preparing and reporting consolidated accounts (A/C purchase goods and other expenses – overseas).
- Reviewing contracts (overseas) issued by trading partners (if any) and addressing shipping contract discrepancies by collaborating with the trading team to rectify issues.
- Researching and correcting any out-of-balance situations between the GL and sub-ledger (overseas), and reporting the monthly AP aging (overseas).
- Reviewing and recording overseas expenses, accrued expenses, and unrealized (Gain)/Loss from exchange rate fluctuations.
- Analyzing, amortizing, and reconciling accrued accounts.
- Preparing assigned journal entries and general ledger reconciliations.
- Confirming Account Payable & Account Receivable (Related Party Transactions: RPT) and reporting accordingly.
- Reviewing input tax reports and withholding taxes.
- Providing ad hoc reporting and analysis of financial data as needed.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in Accounting within the logistics business is a must.
- Experience in handling documents related to import/export and performing overseas payments.
- Proficient in creating reports, and documents, and using programs in English.
- Knowledge of Oracle is a plus.
- Ability to support month-end analysis for inventory management and general accounting functions.
- Thorough knowledge of GAAP, including principles, theories, and concepts in accounting.
