Our client is a manufacturer of plastic components for automotive parts.
Responsibilities
- Conducting feasibility studies for new CMD/Security Seal projects using 3D SolidWorks and AutoCAD, focusing on identifying factory products and tooling costs to support the commercial team.
- Leading product development activities for APQP, specifically related to injection moulding tooling and processes, collaborating with tool suppliers on DFM and trial phases for new tooling.
- Overseeing product development for PPAP, securing customer approvals, and monitoring product performance post-SOP to ensure smooth operations.
- Spearheading Security Seal product development and providing technical support for product improvements in VAVE, quality enhancement, and customer feedback resolution.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years of prior experience in product design and development involving plastic injection tooling and processes.
- Exceptional project coordination skills with the capability to manage cross-functional collaboration.
- Expertise in cost evaluation and design refinement methodologies.
- Outstanding interpersonal and team collaboration skills.
- Advanced critical thinking and troubleshooting abilities.
- Competence in 3D modelling tools and documentation software.
