Job Description

  • Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Oracle database servers on Windows and Unix Solaris platforms.
  • Implementing table/index partitioning to improve performance.
  • Tuning database parameters for optimal performance.
  • Setting up, configuring, and troubleshooting database servers.
  • Providing guidance and coaching application developers to enhance performance within the team.
  • Monitoring and tuning database performance, including SQL statements, memory, disk I/O, and disk space management.
  • Analyzing and maintaining databases, including providing solutions to resolve server and database issues.
  • Backing up and restoring databases using tools such as Data Pump and RMAN.
  • Planning capacity for database size changes in response to business growth.
  • Performing daily checks on database logs, server logs, and process logs using both manual methods and custom scripts.
  • Supervising IT teams (development, infrastructure, support) to resolve technical issues.
  • Configuring and implementing Nagios alarms (email, SMS).
  • Monitoring performance using PRTG.
  • Planning team job assignments.
  • Tracking all incidents and service requests from requesters.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a DBA.
  • Experience with Oracle databases.
  • Work schedule: Monday–Friday, Onsite 2 Days / WFH 3 Days.
