Job Description
Our client is a leading manufacturer and supplier of cosmetics and personal care products.
The Factory Manager will be responsible for the following key functions:
- Overseeing all daily operations of the plant from production and manufacturing to ensuring policies and procedures are followed.
- Developing processes that will maximize stewardship, safety, quality and productivity. Planning, organizing, directing and running optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers’ expectations.
- Increasing production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards.
- Ensuring Compliance with local law for Permits.
- Ensuring compliance with Company standards for EHS, cost control, waste reduction, quality, and complete and on-time delivery at the lowest possible cost.
- Providing leadership for problem resolution to facilitate fast improvements and improved working relationships.
- Identifying, communicating and driving the implementation of capital investments and improvement projects and operational best practices.
- Developing and improving the product quality, machine & labour efficiency, equipment and facilities utilization.
- Updating procedures and work instructions to comply with various quality systems such as GMP, HACCP, BRC and customers' requirements.
- Taking accountability in the daily management of the plant, delivering operation targets relating to safety, quality, cost, delivery and morale, and sustaining associated KPI.
- Supervising employees and the team to ensure that products are of good quality with produced with high productivity.
- Conducting training courses on basic sanitation, GMP and HACCP, Safety and Food Safety Policy to staff.
- Empowering team members in cross-functional problem-solving, investigating root causes and initiating corrective and preventive actions.
- Dealing with complex situations where problem-solving will be required to be conducted on the spot.
- Escalating and involving local or remote resources that may be internal or external depending on the situation.
- Holding a strong learning ability, mental agility, ability to deal with high levels of uncertainties, and working independently.
- Performing as a collaborative team player with the ability to essentially work across cultures.
- Performing other special job assignments that are involved in the responsibility.
Qualifications
- Master's or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or any related field. An MBA is also preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Manufacturing with at least 5 years at managerial level.
- 6-8 years of experience in the Food, Cosmetics, FMCG Manufacturing Industry with 3 to 5 years of excellent experience in a management role.
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience in production processes and project management associated with food processing machines and utilities.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- A track record of team development and engagement.
- Good command of English with computer proficiency.
