Our client is a leading global manufacturer of automotive accessories.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing all quality-related issues within the manufacturing team (e. g. internal, supplier, customer, and customer warranty).
- Managing and coordinating customer claims, customer problem solving on time, cost recovery, customer warranty and customer quality audits.
- Identifying root causes and instigating permanent corrective actions for product quality issues.
- Working with internal and external stakeholders to resolve quality issues that arise as quickly and efficiently as possible to prevent compromising quality and safety standards.
- Carrying out product and process auditing.
- Ensuring control plans and associated documentation are implemented effectively and maintained.
- Monitoring and reporting on quality-related key performance indicators including scrap monitoring, rework levels, and parts per million (PPM) figures.
- Stopping production in the event of the manufacture of unacceptable goods/processes.
- Ensuring compliance and assisting with adherence to the Quality Management system (IATF 16949 / ISO9001).
- Writing product inspection/testing procedures and/or work instructions.
- Reporting on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to adhere to process and prevent the occurrence of any non-conformity relating to product, process, or system.
- Participating in cross-functional teams in the development of new products or changes related to current products in meeting customer requirements.
- Participating in the development and refinement of Process FMEAs (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis).
- Assisting with training of quality awareness.
- Handling quality control of work by appropriate reviews.
- Attending various meetings and action/communicate instructions.
- Producing written reports and making presentations.
- Independently determining approach and assigned tasks.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering field.
- At least 10 years up working experience as Quality in automotive industry.
- Experience in European automotive manufacturing industry is advantage.
- Solid background in IATF 16949, VDA and ISO 14001.
- IATF 16949 Lead Auditor / VDA 6.3 Process Audit Certification is advantage.
- Knowledge of quality systems.
- Prior experience as a quality manager in a production processing environment.
- Familiar with company and industry quality standards and processes.
- Strong Knowledge of IATF 16949 and VDA requirements.
- Strong knowledge of Cote Tools (APQP, FMEA, PPAP, SPC and MSA)
- Understanding of ISO14001 and Health and Safety Practices.
- Knowledge of measurement system.
- Ability to work in a diverse and dynamic environment.
- Ability to present data effectively.
- Problem-solving skills / Six Sigma.
