Job Description

Our client is a manufacturer of packaging.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing and setting up production machine tools to ensure they are ready and adjusted for efficient, high-quality production processes.
  • Performing machining tasks for spare parts and maintenance, including manufacturing some parts and repairing machine components.
  • Leading analysis of tooling breakdowns in collaboration with the Maintenance (MT) and Production (PD) teams, implementing quick, non-recurring preventive solutions.
  • Reviewing and managing inventory of spare and consumable parts, ensuring availability and optimized stock levels. Inspect incoming parts and verify against the latest drawings.
  • Standardizing Tool Maker operations, covering setup, adjustment, and preventive maintenance processes to reduce lead time across activities.
  • Overseeing the Preventive Maintenance program, ensuring adherence to schedules, spare part availability, and proper use of tools and work instructions. Summarize activities and provide feedback on any issues, offering solutions as needed.
  • Driving cost reduction on consumable parts, maximizing their use while maintaining production quality standards.
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies by actively participating in and following all relevant implementations and activities, including those related to the Code of Conduct, Data Privacy, Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption, Acceptable Use Policy, Security Awareness, Information Protection, Competency Framework, Social Media Guidelines, and standards for safety and quality systems such as QMS, BRC, Halal, ISO, Food Safety, and Environmental Health and Safety.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field in Tooling Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Tooling, Pin & Die, with expertise in:
    • Predictive and preventive tooling maintenance.
    • Tool and die setup, qualification, and calibration.
    • Standardized tool setup procedures.
    • Use of measurement tools, including micrometres, roughness meters, precision machining alignment tools (e.g., laser, dial gauge), fit and tolerance, and torque control.
    • CAD/CAM software (AutoCAD).
    • Technical drawings for tooling, components, and spare parts.
    • Control and management of tooling spare parts.
  • Good Command of English.
