Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to oversee and manage the supply chain operations for three critical departments—Gold and Silver, Office Accessories, and Raw Materials—in our 500-employee jewellery company. This role will be responsible for optimizing procurement, managing costs, ensuring efficient inventory levels, and maintaining strong supplier relationships while adhering to high ethical sourcing standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gold and Silver Supply Chain Management:
    • Overseeing the sourcing of gold and silver materials, ensuring that suppliers meet ethical and quality standards, including conflict-free sourcing and compliance with industry regulations.
    • Negotiating contracts with suppliers to secure the best pricing while ensuring a consistent and reliable supply of precious metals.
    • Monitoring market trends in precious metals and adjusting procurement strategies to mitigate cost fluctuations and risks.
  • Office Accessories Supply Chain
    • Managing procurement and supply chain processes for office accessories (e.g., displays, packaging materials, and tools) required for the daily operations of the business.
    • Collaborating with internal teams to forecast demand, ensuring timely procurement and inventory replenishment.
    • Working with suppliers to ensure quality, timely delivery, and cost efficiency for non-precious material purchases.
    •
  • Raw Materials Supply Chain
    • Oversee sourcing and procurement of raw materials such as gemstones, alloys, and other components needed for jewellery production.
    • Manage relationships with global suppliers to ensure the highest quality and competitive pricing while maintaining ethical sourcing standards.
    • Implement strategies for reducing costs without compromising quality by identifying new suppliers, materials, or production methods.

General Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing supply chain strategies that align with company goals and support the growth of the business across all departments.
  • Inventory Management: Ensuring optimal inventory levels across all materials, reducing waste and excess while maintaining the ability to meet production demands.
  • Cost Optimization: Driving cost reduction initiatives across all departments by analyzing current spend, supplier contracts, and processes to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers, ensuring they meet quality, cost, and delivery expectations.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Production, Finance, and Sales, to ensure alignment of supply chain activities with business objectives.
  • Monitoring KPIs related to cost, delivery performance, and inventory levels, and providing regular reports to senior management on supply chain performance.
  • Leading supply chain risk management efforts, ensuring contingency plans are in place for potential disruptions (e.g., supplier issues, regulatory changes).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably within the jewellery or luxury goods industry.
  • Experience managing Jewelry, precious metals and raw materials supply chains.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven track record in cost optimization and inventory management.
  • Excellent communication in English and interpersonal skills to manage internal teams and supplier relationships.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and inventory management software.
  • Understanding ethical sourcing and sustainability practices in the jewellery industry is a plus.
