Job Description

Our client is seeking a warehouse manager who manages warehouse operations to ensure efficient and economical utilization for storing, reconditioning and distributing finished goods inventories.

Job Responsibilities

  • Supervising the distribution of the company forming systems in a safe and efficient manner. Maintains oversight of the warehouse planning and scheduling functions.
  • Managing daily work schedules and warehouse to ensure on-time, accurate and complete delivery of the company equipment and that customer requirements are met.
  • Recommending, approving, and implementing changes in procedures to improve the operational efficiency of the warehouse.
  • Essential Functions: Listing major actions performed on the job. Describes what occurs and the reason the action is taken. Provides impact of each action by indicating the percentage of time spent performing the functions.
  • Managing warehouse activities by monitoring productivity and daily work schedules of warehouse employees performing shipping, receiving, reconditioning and storage of the company forms via pounds per man hour objectives, percentage of lease pool equipment reconditioned, status of damaged beyond repair (DBR) and unreturned equipment (URE), safety and quality objectives and equipment returns completed within three (3) working days.
  • Ensuring warehouse workloads run at full capacity.
  • Maintaining oversight of equipment returns and ensuring accuracy and compliance with the return procedures.
  • Prioritizing and pushing equipment into the reconditioning process as needed for scheduled shipments or to achieve a percentage of lease pool equipment reconditioned. Conducts direct customer contacts for all damaged beyond repair (DBR) and unreturned equipment (URE) issues to begin discrepancy resolution.
  • Recording contact and customer feedback and direct trucking and shipping operations.
  • Conducting daily equipment reallocation as necessary to maximize the company lease pool utilization and minimize freight expense.
  • Ensuring shipment coordination with internal and external customers.
  • Making shipment schedule adjustments as needed and handling all disciplinary actions.
  • Leading and directing administrative functions, such as developing and training new and current employees, employee reviews and development planning as well as assisting in providing feedback regarding salary administration.
  • Inspecting materials produced to ensure quality. Determines spacing requirements for storage and ensures compliance with the storage, equipment palletizing, standard bundle quantities, and banding procedures and meets customer requirements. Ensures inventory accuracy.
  • Coordinating and reviewing safety and environmental issues of the warehouse and office facilities.
  • Ensuring maintenance of equipment and a safe, clean environment.
  • Performing other job-related duties and special projects including but not limited to coordinating exports to international operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, plus 6-8 years experience in manufacturing or distribution.
  • Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to complete basic mathematical calculations is essential.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, organizational, and PC skills are required.
  • Able to work effectively under pressure, exercise good judgment, and be a good negotiator.
  • Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods. Limited travel is required.
  • Able to manage the lease pool of assets in the District, including warehouse infrastructure and lease equipment.
