Job Description

Our client is responsible for leading material planning & warehouse initiatives across the product portfolio. You will work closely with engineering, design, supply chain, and legal to identify areas of opportunity to reduce risk in our supplier portfolio while optimizing quality, service and cost. Responsibilities will include developing, managing, and defining selection criteria for suppliers, evaluating bids, and negotiating contracts and agreements. This will be a key and integral position that brings together the cross-functional procurement team and sets the strategy for direct spending across the portfolio.

At this experience level, applies advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. Responsibilities may include managing projects/processes and coaching or reviewing the work of less experienced professionals.

Major Accountabilities

  • Leading the material planning and production planning.
  • Coordinating with sourcing, import and export teams to ensure the supply chain basic data is set up correctly and efficiently.
  • Leading buyer team to make sure material is on-time delivery.
  • Leading warehouse team to ensure good warehouse keeping and management.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Supporting NPI sourcing program and other operations-related projects.
  • Managing production planning, material planning and material stock control.
  • Supporting other OpEx metrics related to the supply chain.
  • Overseeing material and finished goods warehouse.
  • Monitoring material PO, and buying status.
  • Working with suppliers and industry groups to identify new technology and applications.
  • Partnering with manufacturing, engineering, and design to identify gaps, areas for improvement, or opportunities to apply new technology.

Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field; 5-7 years of experience in supply chain or material planning.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and solid knowledge of supply chain principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management abilities.
  • Experience with import/export regulations and a focus on process improvement and technology innovation.
