Position Overview
This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting while providing leadership across accounting, tax, and cash flow management functions. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with financial and statutory requirements while delivering financial analysis and insights to management and investors.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, and accurately representing business results to management and investors.
- Leading financial and statutory reporting, providing management with financial results and analysis to track actual performance against plans.
- Overseeing corporate accounting functions, including external reporting, payment processing, indirect taxes, and corporate income tax returns.
- Managing cash flow, including daily operations, cash flow planning, short-term investments, loans, intercompany lending and dividends, while spearheading initiatives to improve cash flow.
- Implementing and maintaining robust financial controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
- Overseeing income tax and indirect tax preparation, as well as international tax packages, including IDR reports and TP disclosures, ensuring compliance with corporate and legal requirements.
- Leading direct and indirect tax-related projects, collaborating with legal teams, tax advisors, and senior management to effectively represent the company in tax courts and with government agencies.
- Overseeing financial management, statutory reporting, process improvement, and people management.
- Representing legal entities as a Board of Directors when necessary.
- Coordinating with third-party providers (e.g., accounting firms) for the preparation of statutory accounts.
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting standards (Thai GAAP and US GAAP), SAP R/3, and taxation rules (direct, deferred, and indirect taxes such as VAT and withholding taxes).
- Experience in implementing internal control procedures in a manufacturing and commercial organization.
- Excellent stakeholder management, team leadership, decision-making, and the ability to navigate complex, ambiguous situations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy.
- Holding a CPD license is a must, holding a CPA licence would be an advantage.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience, ideally in a multinational company.
