Role Summary
The Director of Operations is responsible for the overall smooth running of operations, ensuring efficient P&L management, managing production schedules, Quality, manpower and material costs, sales and maintaining high product quality.
Responsibilities
- Taking charge of daily plant operations, ensuring smooth and efficient workflows.
- Developing and rolling out production plans to meet customer needs while maximising resource use.
- Hitting production targets without compromising on quality standards.
- Handling streamlines material management processes with strategic planning.
- Upholding rigorous quality control to exceed customer expectations.
- Champion continuous improvement to boost product quality and operational effectiveness.
- Implementing and maintaining ISO certifications (ISO 9000, ISO 13485, TS16949, ISO 14000).
- Leading, guiding, and inspiring a diverse team, by fostering teamwork and a strong safety culture.
- Ensuring strict adherence to environmental, health, and safety regulations.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
Key Required Experience, Skills, and Abilities
- At least 8 years of production/manufacturing management experience within a Plastic Injection moulding or Cosmetic Packaging environment.
- Experienced in production planning and material control management and Quality within plastics manufacturing Cosmetic Packaging environment.
- Experience with ISO 9000, TS16949, ISO 14001, IATF16949.
- Experience leading product development and NPI is a must.
- Comfortable with presentations to customers and communicating with stakeholders.
- Demonstrable ability to drive sales and continuous improvement on the shop floor.
- Strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English as well as fluency in the Thai language.
