Job Description

Our client is a large hospital.

They are looking for a Finance and Accounting  Manager who will oversee the financial health and administrative operations of the hospital.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing and analyzing financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
  • Developing financial strategies to improve profitability and efficiency.
  • Ensuring proper billing and coding procedures for patient services.
  • Managing accounts payable/receivable and ensuring timely payments.
  • Ensuring compliance with tax regulations, healthcare financial standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conducting cost analyses and developing initiatives to reduce hospital operating costs.
  • Working closely with the procurement team for cost-effective purchasing decisions
  • Managing day-to-day administrative operations within the hospital, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery.
  • Coordinating and collaborating with department heads to improve hospital functions and resolve operational issues.
  • Developing and implementing policies and procedures to optimize resource allocation and operational efficiency.
  • Ensuring the hospital is adequately staffed and that the team receives necessary training and development.
  • Leading and managing non-clinical staff, including finance, administrative, and operations personnel.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree or relevant certification is preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare finance or hospital management.
  • Strong background in financial planning, analysis, and budgeting.
  • CPA is preferable. 
  • Experience managing large teams and multi-departmental operations in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in hospital management software and financial systems
