Responsibilities
- Managing all quality Assurance activities at the factory to ensure consistent food quality in line with quality standards and ensure compliance with related statutes.
- Setting up a system to analyze and monitor area deviation in process condition, and product quality and work closely with the Manufacturing team to implement corrective action.
- Guiding and directing the factory team to implement the highest standards of sanitation and hygiene and GMP in the manufacturing plant.
- Handling and coordinating within the related departments for customer requirements, customer audit reports and coordination with the concern department.
- Reviewing deviation for raw material, finished product and system.
- Maintaining quality system, improving the quality management system and also preparing management review reports and monthly uploads to the database.
- Controlling changes to the document procedure and SOP in the quality system and ensuring the document information database is maintained appropriately.
- Coordinating to certify or surveillance audit and customer specification review.
- Performing internal audits and leading external audit activities.
- Conducting Internal Audit, Process Audit, Product Audit, Customer audit,
- Managing Traceability and Practice Recall.
- Supervising subordinates to ensure compliance with company rules, regulations and policies including production standards, GMP, HACCP, FSSC, BRC and Halal.
- Managing the relevant certifications and audits related to GFSI and HALAL
- Training system coordinate based on MHP, HACCP, FSSC 22000, BRC and Halal.
- Ensuring all the validation and qualification activities are implemented as per protocol and ensure execution of validation master plan.
- Leading the investigation of consumer complaints and developing corrective actions to prevent the recurrence of complaints.
- Conducting performance conversations, setting targets, understanding expectations, guiding & providing feedback on work issues, coaching, mentor & training subordinates to ensure that people perform at the highest levels of performance and as per expectations.
- Working with the other department head and Environmental Health & Safety, Food Safety to drive and ensure that all Operations practices/procedures/methodologies ensure 100% compliance in these areas.
- Handling Pest Control Management.
- Coordinating with accredited laboratories for product analysis of both nutrition facts and standard tests, which are required by the FDA for registration of new products.
Qualifications
- Minimum Associate's Degree with a Bachelor's in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology or a related field.
- Experiences in Food manufacturing with at least 10 years.
- Understanding of food manufacturing, HACCP, GHP, FSSC, BRC Halal Halal MUI and other legislative requirements.
- Understand problem-solving tools and applicable ones.
- Knowledge of tools, concepts and methodologies of QA.
- Good working knowledge or adequate training in GHP-HACCP, FSSC and Halal.
- Very good command of the English language (Speaking, reading and writing).
