Job Overview
The ideal candidate should have 10 years of global sourcing experience in the multinational automotive industry, experience in people management and being a leader in project management.
The job involves managing material control, supporting NPI processes, overseeing strategic purchasing, sourcing in the SEA region, and developing a local supplier base to facilitate exports abroad.
Responsibilities
- Managing and handling material control and continuous saving projects.
- Coordinating with the engineering team to support the New Product Introduction process (NPI).
- Handling Strategic purchasing/sourcing across the SEA region and analysing market intelligence to create plans to support business growth.
- Leading supplier development and supplier audit to ensure product/material quality and cost.
- Managing and monitoring supplier delivery performance.
- Improving work processes in purchasing and procurement such as payment terms, inventory and lead time.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's in engineering, business background.
- Minimum 10 years of global sourcing experience in the multinational automotive industry, with 5 years of people management experience.
- Experience being a leader in project management.
- Familiar with quality tools.
- Excellent in SAP.
- Willingness to travel frequently.
- Proficiency in English.
