Our client is a global leader in the automotive industry, specializing in advanced software and electronics solutions. Seeking for Plant Controller, to manage the controlling of a plant to guarantee and optimize the plant's financial performance and competitiveness.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all financial procedures
- Developing, executing, and controlling internal finance procedures including spending authorization following Group procedures and policies.
- Ensuring site activities are compliant with finance-related procedures (product flow, inventory, routings, …), and internal control basics.
- Provide reliable financial/controlling information in close relationship with other operational and support functions
- Leading all financial forecasting processes (budget, periodic forecast, …).
- Managing reporting process ensuring reliability, consistency, transparency, and delay compliance.
- Ensuring reliability of standard costing.
- Providing all necessary controlling analysis including variance analysis/standard costs, margin/programs, plant budgetary control, squeeze management and follow-up of sales and purchasing price, etc.
- Collaborating with Shared Service Center obtaining/providing/validating proper finance information.
- Controlling and managing the plant’s operating cash flow (capex, inventories, overdue).
- Liaising with the Shared Service Center provides all necessary information requested by internal and external auditors and other local external authorities.
- For new programs
- Participating in Business Plan validation, and ensuring consistency with plant financial information.
- Monitoring the program start-up and establishing variances versus the last reference business plan.
- Participating in the program post-audit, be the finance lead person in the tracking of convergence plan related to plant activities.
- Act as a business partner toward the plant management, and provide recommendations to the management
- Participating with the management of the plant, in the development of action plans resulting from relevant analysis to achieve the operational targets, and increase the plant’s financial profitability and cash optimization (especially identification and implementation of productivity plans).
- Following financial impact and progress of action plans.
- Ensuring financial awareness of plant operational teams.
- Ensuring the management and development of the controlling team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Business or Engineering.
- 3 to 10 years of professional experience, according to the size and complexity of the site, including a first controlling experience at the plant level.
- Familiarity with Industrial Information Systems and Flows.
- Automotive and SAP knowledge is a plus.
- Good accounting knowledge.
- Business minded.
- Strong Teamwork.
- Good communication skills.
- Fluent in English.
