Our client is a logistics provider.
Responsibilities
- Handling the day-to-day management of Finance and Accounting functions including Banking, Reporting, and remittance to principal.
- Assisting the agency head in the day-to-day management of the Company.
- Periodically reviewing General Ledger and accounts Payable/Receivable data and initiating corrective action as and when required.
- Keeping regular contact with Major Customers and with Vendors – especially Terminals and Depots.
- Creating monthly reporting of financial performance to corporate controlling/Group HQ.
- Preparing quarterly and year-end closing and ensuring smooth statutory audit of the Agency asper Local and IFRS standards. Liaise with Auditors in meeting all requirements and timely completion of Audit.
- Ensuring provincial/national tax filing and other requirements on time.
- Ensuring corporate compliances and regulatory standards by each of the department/sections/offices of the Company in coordination with MD.
- Attending to Adhoc requirements from the Agency MD and Corporate office.
Job Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or Business with an emphasis in accounting.
- Minimum 8 years experience in Accounting/Audit with at least 3 years in a Managerial Accounting role with a Shipping Agency or Liner branch office covering Finance & Accounting.
- Proficiency with accounting software – ERP applications and excellent presentation, and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Knowledge of Liner/agency operations & functions.
- Well-versed with Thailand Business/branch Taxation including VAT & Income tax, Statutory filings, Board Meetings, etc.
- Knowledge & Experience in International Reporting standards – e.g. IFRS.
- Basic understanding of Administrative accounting, local employee-related tax and social welfare regulations.
- Mature self-motivated, team player, deadline-driven and can work under pressure.
- Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) / ACCA/ or equivalent preferable is an advantage.
