We urgently seek a highly skilled and experienced Production Planning Manager to join our team in the aluminium canning manufacturing industry.
Main Responsibilities:
- Defining KPIs for the department in collaboration with the MD.
- Coordinating and providing support to other departments within the organization.
- Collaborating in various departmental and organizational activities.
- Supporting, assisting, and fostering morale for subordinates.
- Communicating and coordinating with relevant departments to participate in management meetings for production plan reviews.
Key Duties:
- Receiving and distributing departmental policies, ensuring targets are met, and coordinating with relevant departments to align production with the plan.
- Working closely with the planning team to prioritize in-progress products and ensure a timely production flow.
- Monitoring and following up on WIP (Work in Progress) to ensure smooth production and overseeing system checks.
- Ensuring work is progressing according to plan, addressing issues, and verifying readiness for stock checks.
- Participating in meetings with the quality assurance and production teams to evaluate whether production targets are met.
- Checking steel and parts during production to compare with QAD system data.
- Communicating critical policy and quality system information to subordinates.
- Operating within the framework of quality management systems (9001/BRC/14001/45001/Halal, etc.).
- Understanding and addressing issues related to pest control and animal vector surveillance.
- Ensuring compliance with food safety and occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Authority (Decision-making, Quality Control):
- Approving requisition forms.
- Signing documents related to production orders.
- Approving various specification documents.
- Signing various documents as needed.
Education/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- At least 7 years of experience in production planning.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in managing planning activities.
Special Qualifications/Skills:
- Strong strategic planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- In-depth knowledge of production processes and products.
- Expertise in production planning and data collection.
Reports to be Prepared:
- KPI reports for the department.
- Production performance evaluation reports.
- WIP (Work In Progress) reports, including remaining and inactive WIP.
- Steel usage reports compared to production needs.
